Get the knowledge on how to identify
& measure Scope 3 Value Chain emissions
Identification and quantification of value chain, upstream & downstream processes, products & services that generate GHGs are requested by stakeholders including: TCFD, GRI, CDP, SBTi, Net-Zero, & many others
GHG Accounting for Scope 3 Upstream & Downstream GHG Emissions
Course Overview
This course will lead you to obtain the knowledge & certificate that demonstrates your competence to measure, quantify & report Scope 3 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. Scope 3 emissions, defined in this course, encompass all indirect emissions that occur within a typical organization's value chain.
The importance of supply chains in relation to an organization's overall greenhouse gas emissions is becoming more significant. The impact of waste, water consumption, & GHG emissions during the process of delivering products & services to consumers is often underestimated.
The accurate evaluation of emissions that contribute to climate change is now facing greater scrutiny. This course provides participants with the opportunity to explore the best approaches for measuring & managing scope 3 GHG emissions.
Participants will investigate strategies to collect data from diverse sources, calculate or estimate emissions, and effectively manage the procurement of supplies, services, & travel to mitigate or potentially reduce scope 3 emissions.
